STK2120 – Statistical Methods and Data Analysis 2
Course description
Course content
Multiple linear regression and analysis of variance. Examples of non-linear regression and regression with binary data. Analysis of frequency tables and contingency tables. Numerical optimization of likelihood functions. Properties of maximum likelihood estimators in large samples. Non-parametric bootstrapping. Testing of hypotheses and the likelihood ratio test. Graphical methods for model check.
Learning outcome
The course gives additional theory and methods for statistical inference. Additional important methods are discussed.
Admission
