Course content
The course builds on MAT4530 – Algebraic Topology I and MAT4540 – Algebraic Topology II. The content will vary, but can include finer points of unstable or stable homotopy theory, or the interaction of algebraic topology with subjects like geometric topology or algebraic geometry.

- MAT4540 – Algebraic Topology II
- It may be an advantage to have taken MAT4520 – Manifolds, MAT2200 – Groups, Rings and Fields or MAT4200 – Commutative Algebra.

- 10 credits overlap with MAT9580 – Algebraic Topology III.
Teaching
4 hours of lectures/exercises per week.
The course may be taught in Norwegian if the lecturer and all students at the first lecture agree to it.
Upon the attendance of three or fewer students, the lecturer may, in conjunction with the Head of Teaching, change the course to self-study with supervision.
Examination
Final oral exam which counts 100 % towards the final grade.
It will also be counted as one of the thre
