Summer course applicants must upload scanned copies of their supporting documents to the UiO online application portal "S?knadsweb".

Countries with specific documentation requirements

In some instances, we require specific documentation requirements. Some countries have specific documentation requirements. If you have completed education in one of the countries listed under, you should check information on all relevant pages. It is important that you name the uploaded files precisely as suggested in the tables below. Unless specified under the country list, please do not send us documents by post.

Recognition procedure for applicants without verifiable documentation

If you have completed education from Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Yemen, Liberia, Libya, Sierra Leone or Somalia, you must apply for recognition of your education from HK-dir before you can apply for admission to the University of Oslo.

HK-dir has a specific recognition procedure for persons without verifiable documentation (the UVD-procedure).

You must have a valid residence permit in Norway in order to be eligible for the UVD-procedure.

Please note that only a copy of the ID-page is required. The passport must be valid for at least six months after your departure from Norway.

Secondary education

Required document Description
Documentation of completed secondary education

Admission to Bachelor-level studies is based primarily on your secondary school/high school papers. 

Applicants from EU/EEA countries must submit their secondary school papers to show they meet the English language requirements, unless they submit another type of English documentation.

A scanned copy of the original diploma/certificate must be uploaded.

Translations

If the original language of your documents is not English, German, Danish or Swedish, an official translation made by an authorized translator must be uploaded. Please note that the original language version must always accompany the translation.
