When can I go?
It is anticipated that you go abroad to Japan during the third semester.
You have three options to go abroad:
- Study Abroad: If you wish to study at a university in Japan, you can take elective courses at the master's level that are relevant to your thesis.
- Internship: You can undertake an internship by applying to an organization, business, or foreign affairs office in the Middle East as part of the course AMS4900 – International Project Term in Asia and the Middle East.
- Fieldwork: You can choose to complete fieldwork for your master's thesis by opting for the course combination JAP4020 – Methodologies and Data Collection in Japanese Studies and EAST4610 – Voices from East Asia: How to Communicate Research Results. By choosing this alternative, you will combine data collection with training on how to communicate research results to a broader audience.
