Open access

UiO's goal is for research results to be openly available to research communities nationally and internationally, to the public sector, business and industry, and the rest of society.

Open access means free online access to research results. This is achieved by publishing research results in open access journals, by making individual articles in traditional subscription journals openly available, or by uploading and making results available on open platforms or in open research archives.
