Reusable furniture for offices, meeting rooms and common areas are stored together in one place. The furniture is only for use within UiO.
UiO has a significant amount of rearrangement of offices and common areas. Many discard old furniture and purchase new, but fortunately, an increasing number of people wish to furnish with used furniture.
Need new furniture
Report your need for used furniture and schedule an inspection through Estate Services. Select Reuse and repair of furniture in the drop-down menu, followed by Looking for reused furniture. Section for Logistics will contact you to make an appointment ?for an inspection at Gjenbrukskontoret and their storage in Kristian Ottosens hus.?
Remember to clear it with your unit's Head of Office or Estate Coordinator (Norwegian page).
Reused furniture is popular, and new furniture is delivered regularly. Many items of furniture are only on site for a couple of days before they are collected again.
Furniture you don't need anymore
Gjenbrukskontoret accepts furniture from across UiO. Please report through Estate Services by choosing Reuse and repair of furniture in the drop-down menu.
You can also send an email to the office manager network to see if others want the furniture you no longer have need for.
For use within UiO only
Please note that all furniture is owned by UiO and can only be udes within UiO. We must adhere to Instruks for utrangering, kassasjon og avhending av materiell og fast eiendom som tilh?rer staten (lovdata.no) (in Norwegian) and can neither give away nor sell furniture to employees or students.
Repair and restore
EA has a cabinetmaker who carries out minor repairs throughout the year. You can report this need to Estate Services. Any employee can do this.
In addition, units may apply for funds from a pool of two million Norwegian kroner for the reupholstery and repair of office chairs, meeting room chairs, worn sofa suites, daybeds and tables four times a year. What you can apply for is:
- new upholstery and padding
- film on worn tables
- major furniture repairs
